This bunny's head and body are worked in one continuous piece — no sewing a head onto a body, which is where most amigurumi start to look wobbly. You just decrease for the neck and increase again for the body. Long ears, little arms and feet, and a fluffy tail finish it off.

  4. Feet Rnds 3–5: Sc around. Stuff lightly and sew to the front of the base so the bunny sits. (9)

Tail

Make a 1-in white pom-pom, or crochet a tiny ball: 6 sc in a magic ring, inc in each st (12), sc around once, then dec 6 times and close. Sew to the back.

Finishing

Embroider a small pink nose (a "Y" shape) between the eyes, and add pink cheeks with a little blush or pink yarn. For extra sweetness, stitch a pink inner ear with a line of surface slip stitches.

Common questions

Is this bunny safe for babies?

For babies under three, embroider the eyes instead of using safety eyes, skip any small add-ons and sew all parts very securely.

How do I make the ears stand up?

Stuff them lightly, or slide a chenille stem inside (decor only, not for children).

Can I use fluffy yarn?

Velvet or chenille yarn makes an incredibly soft bunny, but stitches are hard to see — use a stitch marker every round.
